Dr Moe Thu  is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).  Dr  Thu completed his Bachelor of Medicine in Myanmar (formerly named Burma). Over the years he has had training and experience in General Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Dermatology and Skin Cancer.

 

As a Fellow of RACGP, Dr Thu is experienced to manage all aspects of general practice presentations.  He has a special interest in skin cancer medicine, chronic disease management, diabetic management, children’s health and surgical conditions.

 

Dr Thu has completed Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Advanced Skin Surgery Workshop.

 

Dr Thu has previously worked as a GP in Myanmar for nearly 4 years before moving to one of the Caribbean countries, Jamaica, where he devoted his job for 5 years mainly in Surgery and Casualty services.  He migrated to Tasmania in April 2016; has successfully obtained AMC certificate and completed 2 years hospital rotations in North West Regional Hospital. Thereafter he joined GP training in Hervey Bay region and achieved his FRACGP fellowship. 

  

When he is not at work, Dr Thu is either at home looking after his young son who keeps him run off his feet or watching movies.
