Telehealth

Telehealth (Phone Consults) are now available and can be booked online 24/7. To qualify for this you must be an existing patient (attended our practice in the last 12 months) and MUST meet one of the criteria listed below. These consultations are bulk billed.

At least one of the following MUST apply:
(a) has been diagnosed with COVID-19 but who is not a patient of a hospital; or
(b) has been advised to isolate themselves in quarantine in accordance with
AHPPC’s home isolation guidance; or
(c) is considered more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus being:
• at least 70 years old; or
• at least 50 years old and is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
• pregnant; or
• a parent of a child under 12 months; or
• already under treatment for chronic health conditions, or
• is immunocompromised.
(d) the person meets the current criteria for suspected COVID-19 infection.

You can also switch your face to face appointment to a phone consultation but you will need to phone to make this change. Please make sure you qualify per the criteria above.

Obviously there are limitations on what can be done via a phone consult. Please ensure we have your correct phone details too. At this stage, this service is only available for GPs and not our visiting specialists.
